The plan yesterday was to dye my hair blonde but my youngest, Jarin, got sick at school. When I arrived to sign her out the school reading specialist passed me in the hall and said, “I thought you’d be blonde.” Then another teacher rounded the corner and asked if I had changed my mind about my hair.
“I’m sorry?” I asked.
“I thought you were dying your hair blonde again,” she said.
Apparently Jarin was spreading the word, telling every Frederick County Public School employee my plans for the day.
Thank God I didn’t have a pap and pelvic scheduled.
